Case Officer at the County Administrative Board of Stockholm
Are you a recent graduate in law, political science, or public administration looking to apply your knowledge in practice? Or have you worked for a few years in case handling within a government agency or municipality? Are you seeking a varied case officer role where you can be a central cog in the operation? Then this could be the right step for you.
The County Administrative Board of Stockholm is responsible for approximately 6,600 foundations registered in the foundation register. We have both supervisory responsibilities and are the registration authority for these foundations. Annually, around 3,000 notifications related to the foundation register need to be handled. Your main tasks will lie within these cases, and you will work independently, but also together with other case officers and lawyers in the unit.
You will primarily work with case handling and administrative processes, while also being a natural point of contact for both colleagues and the public. For the right person, there is an opportunity to broaden the area of responsibility and grow in line with the operation. As a case officer, you will have a central position in the case flow, and your work contributes to maintaining public confidence in both the foundation form and the County Administrative Board as the supervisory authority.
What does the role entail?
This is a role for you who thrives in a varied work environment – and who is motivated to create order, clarity, and good service in an operation that matters to many. The role requires you to prioritize, create an overview, and at the same time have a sense for details.
An important part of the assignment is to work in a structured and solution-oriented manner to maintain pace in the case flow without compromising legal security and quality. You are also a central contact point for foundations and representatives, where clear, effective, and pedagogical communication is crucial.
As an employee at the County Administrative Board, you may need to be directed to other tasks within the unit, department, or agency. This is because we may receive temporary assignments that need to be resolved quickly, but also because we are a crisis preparedness authority. It is therefore a prerequisite that you, as a person, have the interest and ability to work broadly when the opportunity arises.
Your main tasks include:
- handling cases regarding registration of foundations and notifications of changes in the foundation register
- registering information in the foundation register
- managing incoming inquiries regarding foundations and foundation supervision
- coordinating and supporting administrative processes
- ensuring structure, quality, and good service in daily work.
Are you the one we are looking for?
For this role, we want you to have:
- a degree in law or social sciences; or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent
- high digital maturity
- good administrative understanding and interest in administrative flows
- the ability to quickly understand the unique conditions of different foundations
- good ability to express yourself simply and pedagogically in speech and writing.
For the right person, there is an opportunity to take on greater responsibility, develop processes, and grow into more qualified parts of the supervisory work over time.
As a person, you are structured, proactive, and helpful. You find it easy to collaborate and create good relationships. You take responsibility and have the will and ability to contribute to a good work environment. You thrive on handling many cases simultaneously, can prioritize between tasks, and work with a high security awareness.
As an employee at the County Administrative Board, you need to:
- have the ability to make decisions with consideration to multiple perspectives from a holistic view
- understand that a central role for the County Administrative Board is to make trade-offs between different interests
- have the ability to prioritize and adapt to work with new tasks or in new contexts.
We place crucial importance on personal qualities.
It is meritorious if you have:
- worked with case handling at a government agency or municipality
- experience with digital case management systems.
